Bunny Silhouette Pillow for Easter
A Simple Stenciled Bunny Pillow for Easter
Let’s talk about a simple stenciled bunny silhouette pillow for Easter. Not wanting to over crowd the house with “stuff” yet be intentional with my decorating and have hints of Spring and hints of Easter. I wanted to create a simple bunny pillow silhouette for Easter to add to the house since I have a thing for bunnies.

I picked up this very neutral and plain pillow, that looks a bit like linen, from Walmart. Would you believe that I could not find a bunny stencil where I live. Not anywhere! Yea, pretty crazy! I was bound and determined to create this look. Feeling creative and bold I decided that I would make my own stencil. I even bought a seasonal greeting card with a bunny on the front to give me a solid outline of a rabbit.

No Before-s, No, How Did I Do It!
The other aspect of this… I can’t show you how I made this stenciled pillow because all the photos for the steps and process were lost when my cell phone died. I can only share my experience. Using a greeting card with a rabbit on the front, I cut out the rabbit and used this for my stencil. Advice… find a real stencil. This was difficult. I taped the tracing to the pillow the best that I could and using my hand held the stencil as tight as possible before I used a stencil brush, black paint to achieve the silhouette of a bunny. It isn’t perfect. The outside lines are not as crisp as I would like.

Rustic Linen Look
The rustic linen look brings a cozy, down-to-earth sensibility to any farmhouse style. I referred to this fabric as a rustic linen due to its more textured look and feel. It feels quite durable and is perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

Last Step
When the paint was dry… I cut and hot glued a bow to the bunny. Using a purchased bag of small white pom-poms, I glued one for a tail. You could even apply a cotton ball tail or a colored/patterned bow. Remember what I said about simple…this certainly turned out simple. Which I really like! It has that simplistic touch to the pillow without feeling over-whelming. It’s a great way to pair with a few other neutral pillows and cute. It would be really cute on a kid’s bed or outside on the porch too.
How I Style the Bunny Silhouette Pillow for Easter
I styled it in a few places in the house like our front foyer and in the mudroom room area.

I especially like the bunny silhouette pillow for Easter in the mudroom on the bench area.
Straw Hat Season – Happy Spring!

Yep, Happy first day of Spring! Spring brandings will start up and the cowboys in this neck of the woods will be changing out their felts and wool scotch caps for a lighter straw hat. Such a favored time of year.
Easter
Easter has always been a favorite time to celebrate with family and friends. Old family traditions were picnics in the hills to a favorite cow camp or a reservoir fishing. Only if the weather was nice. If the weather wasn’t so cooperative, it was dinner and Easter egg hunting around the yard. As I grow older, I do miss those days. Those are really difficult traditions to keep alive when you don’t have kids or bunches to celebrate with. But I know those were the days!
