Raised out west. I grew up in my younger years living on a cattle ranch in Northern Nevada. We moved from the ranch closer to a big city, where I attended high school & a university. There, I received my degree in education. I have since retired and I’m seeking new adventures big & small.
Rustic & Refound has become a creative outlet for me, where I love sharing my home, ideas, adventures, DIY projects & little about me. You should know that I don’t always follow rules, & I tend to do & go where my heart leads me. I enjoy traditions, making things pretty, & I love to use flowers inside my home and out in my garden.
My home decor style still may be in a state of flux. I’m still learning. I don’t believe in following rules. I believe there is no right or wrong to personal designing of your space. I think you should fill your home with things you love ~ if it makes you happy, then it is perfect, & I’m all about the perfectly, imperfect.
I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed being a participant in most things including sports. I’ll endure the dust If can be out riding my horse & roping a few steers. I’ve even been known to set-up a picnic in a beautiful mountain meadow with gathered wildflowers for my decor and a majestic mountain scenery in the background. I might even drag an old farm table out in the field/meadow for a gal pals’ brunch.
Things that make my heart sing are nice horses, a garden full of flowers, and using vintage china to set a beautiful table. I have an obsession with chairs. Old, new it really doesn’t matter… if I like it, I can afford it, it’s coming home with me. I have a vintage chair in almost every room of my home & some still in storage. True story!
Back in November of 2019, my hubby & I took on one of our greatest adventures. We decided to build our dream home. We removed an existing modular from its foundation and hired a contractor to put this idea into motion. Using borrowed house plans, along with the original architect, lots of dreaming and praying we went for it with our own plans. This is one of those things I prayed about heavily. Our new Home has been such a blessing.
I have been married for over 30 years. I kind of think I needed to document that too!
In my best way I’m going to photograph everything, because I like to document what inspires me.

So, this is me on the other side of these pages. My blog has given me a place to reach out to others a bit each day.
Favorite Bible verses:
Proverbs 3:5-6. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your insight or understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills- from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121
