A Whimsical Rustic Bunny Pillow for Easter
Welcome to this fun Spring blog post.
I shared this simple DIY bunny pillow with you last year and thought it needed to be reshared. So, today I’m sharing again this simple Easter/Spring craft that anyone can make! If I can sew a simple shape and use stuffing to create a pillow so can you! Easter is just three short weeks away! Can you believe it?
I’m probably doing simple as simple seems to be… is what I’ve been going for a lot lately. I don’t want to over crowd the house with “stuff” yet be more intentional with my decorating and have hints of Spring and hints of Easter.
I wanted to create a simple bunny pillow shape to add to my spring home decor. I have always loved Easter and bunnies. So, this sewing project seemed like something I needed to try. I surprised myself!
My bunny pillow is made from painters drop cloth. Drop cloth is one of those rustic fabrics that steals my heart, before it’s washed with all of its crispness and then after its washed with its wrinkled softness. The best of both worlds. Right?
For more details of my bunny pillow you can find out here.
Simple changes – a white ribbon and bow was added to his neck with a few sprigs of lavender.
A Simple DIY
I originally wanted to purchase a white pom-pom for the tail, but instead opted to keep this project an all simply created from materials I had on hand project. Hence a white yarn pom-pom was created for the tail.
Below is the hand-drawn pattern that I created to make my bunny pillow.
Not knowing how this would turn out – I didn’t document the steps that I did to create the finished project. However, If you love this idea, please feel free to create this for yourself. It’s not stealing. It’s borrowing, and you know what they say… copying is the sincerest form of flattery.
Hey, it’s all most the weekend!
Happy Thursday!
Oh my gosh Tammy! I have made these for my tree. Such a fun way to use your toilet paper roll They are easy but oh so cute❤️
Oh, thank you! They are easy for sure. I enjoy little projects that don’t take a great deal of time or money, but have a big impact. I’m thrilled that you checked it out.
