DIY – A Rustic Wooden Box
As I sit here patiently waiting for Spring’s arrival and for all this snow to melt away and turn to mud… I got a wild hair to create. While daydreaming about spring – a simple spring centerpiece with pretty blooms came to mind. Spring’s arrival can happen none too soon.
My wild hair took me on a trip to the home improvement store where I grabbed a few cedar boards and nails.
Oh yea… I’m kind of obsessed with this pretty grained wood. It’s even better when it’s grayed from weathering!
With this simple wooden box in mind… I started measuring, cutting, and nailing.
About 30 minutes later – a simple crate, wooden box was born. I had built a wooden box to hold whatever my heart desires.
On another stop along my trip to town, I picked up a bunch of flowers to feed the desire of something Spring.
Filled with Clear Glass Jars
A wooden box filled with clear glass mason jars and a single bloom of a Gerber daisy, a mum or two and a pop of greenery. A perfect table centerpiece that maybe set on a buffet or kitchen island.
It’s 36″ of rustic charm. No special frills, just boards and nails. Filled with clear mason jars holding a few blooms. A rustic wooden centerpiece that satisfied my need for a little spring.
This simple centerpiece idea is pretty and easy to do! All you need is a wooden box, crate, (whatcha – may-call-it – thing-a-ma-jig), a few glass jars, and a few stems of some pretty blooms to create this Spring look.
A Box of Versatility
Charming with a grouping of white candles. As you can see, it really is a versatile centerpiece.
A perfect addition to hold all the flickering ambience on your table.
