Fall In Love
February is the month of love. That means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Yes, this month everybody will fall in love – the young and old. It’s not just for romantic couples. It’s a celebration that can resonate within the family. Now if you’re anything like me you are looking for unique and affordable decorating ideas to spruce up your home for the holiday.
L.O.V.E.
It’s a heartfelt banner of a day to fall in love with a bit of burlap, ribbon, and letters of L.O.V.E.
Heartfelt Love
We often incorporate symbols of love with heart shapes, cupids, and love notes. Today I want to share a simple DIY project; letters of love spelled out in burlap. There is really nothing difficult about the making of the banner.
What I used
I used burlap scrapbooking cardstock cut into triangles, letter stencils purchased from the hardware store, white paint, stencil brush, hole punch and some left-over red and white Christmas ribbon. The sky is the limit here. Let your creativity guide you. You could add heart or cupid shapes cut from white, red, or pink cardstock for additional embellishments.
Thread the burlap triangles on the ribbon and you’re ready to hang.
I just “eyeballed” the spacing and here you go, just that simple.
A love banner creates a lighthearted ambiance – a touch of whimsy perfect for a couple or family gathering.
You may have noticed that I used this love banner with my recent Valentine’s Day brunch table.
