Christmas in July

I’m sure you’re all aware of the theme ‘Christmas in July.’ Obviously, Christmas in July is an unofficial holiday celebrated in mid-summer that brings back the joy, traditions, and festive spirit of Christmas, but outside of its usual December season. I took a little time to create a touch of Christmas in the summer, hoping it will set me off on the right foot when December comes around. Folks it’s smokin’ hot here, but let’s do a little blending of the seasons.

I came inside from the heat and set about to decorate for a Christmas in July. I’m all about setting up twinkling trees and decorating tables with just the right amount of ambiance. Today I did just that. I created a table full of candle ambiance and a wee lit tree in the background. A little blending of the seasons, hot, hot summer with a simple – little magic of Christmas.

On the Table, Something Warm and Cozy

I kept the tablescape warm and cozy. Choosing candle ambiance with brass and bronze candle holders for the first layer. The second layer – white and cream candles, white spindle leg candle sticks and gold bottle brush trees, a scattering of dried apple slices, gold velvet ribbon, vintage plates, and gold flatware. This is how I added a sprinkle of Christmas cheer to my table for Christmas in July.

Bring on the ambiance with flickering candles to add the cozy! This is such a simple way to bring warmth and a touch of Christmas magic.

What I Love About This?

Everything! I love having an idea and being able to quickly pull it together without having to stretch my bank account. I didn’t have to run to the store; I didn’t use anything that I didn’t already have in my stash. This was just an idea in my head and I ran with it. I really enjoyed a mingling of the seasons.
