Around the Kitchen Sink
What do you have around the kitchen sink?
It seems that I spend most of my day in the kitchen. Especially around the kitchen sink. Always cleaning, washing dishes, or prepping food. If it’s a place that I spend a lot of time, I want it to be pretty. So, how can you elevate around the kitchen sink for the everyday?

The kitchen sink may be an area you neglect to make pretty for the seasons. I love adding pretty decor and soaps around the kitchen sink for a better experience while dish washing. The best smelling soaps, flowers, fruit, a pretty dishtowel, and a great dish brush. I like to say, use your senses when it comes to decorating and the sink is the perfect place for that.
Summer Minimalism
A clean summer kitchen with minimal clutter is a great way to make you feel good as you work at the sink.

On the counter around the kitchen sink
Think about the containers you are using, the paper towel holder, dish towels, simple things that freshen up your home. How can you elevate the everyday?
Maybe a seasonal soap. Think about the scents of soaps that you like. I tend to lean towards fall scents and enjoy a lovely-smelling candle. I frequently use a scrub brush for dishes, keeping it in a small colander on the counter by the sink. For a touch of charm, I like a pretty porcelain pitcher and perhaps a crystal bowl for fruit.

Finding joy in your home each day comes from appreciating and enhancing the little things—they truly make a difference!

Soaps
Having something scented to add a seasonal touch can be a nice way to transition through seasons without adding too much fanfare.

Plants and Flowers
Plants and flowers bring so much life to a space. Think about not only the greenery but also the container it’s in. Bring the outside in with potted plants. I have a favorite and only plant sitting in a white bowl. Sometimes a small jelly jar full of flowers will find their way around the kitchen sink.

Window
I love my kitchen sink under the window. In the summer I enjoy looking out at the flowers that I have planted for the season. In fact, I enjoy looking out the kitchen window during all the seasons.

Candles
Seasonal candles are another good way to add a bit of relaxation to your routine around the kitchen sink. Candles are fantastic for easing stress and setting a warm, cozy atmosphere at home, creating the perfect space to soothe the soul.

This is what I’ve learned. Keep it simple. If you like to decorate for the seasons, it doesn’t always need to be obvious. Add in simple touches with a seasonal scent, or a dish towel in a favorite seasonal color. These are some subtle ways to transition for the season around the kitchen sink.
These simple actions of you taking care of your home means you are taking care of yourself.
