Summer Plates on the Table
Summer plates on the table! For my love of flowers…

“I must have flowers, always, and always.” Claude Monet
I so agree!
Flower Plates on The Table
Everything’s blooming outside, so why not bring the exuberance of the garden inside?

Simple charm is the design theme of the week over here. A little pink, yellow, red and vibrant green. Seeking to infuse my home with that unique summer ambiance but uncertain of what that entails. However, these cute melamine flowered plates spoke to me.

Cottage and Country Style
A simple tablescape with flowering plates over jute chargers definitely captures a charming summer vibe. The vintage flatware and woven chargers add a nice touch of seasonal color and texture on the table. Top it off with a vintage Chintz teacup and a crystal goblet! You know me…I don’t have reservations about mixing mediums. The beauty of cottage and country style entertaining lies in its informality. It’s all about comfort, simplicity, and charm, without the need for perfection or extensive effort.
For this table setting for Summer Plates on the Table nothing was recently purchased. Everything has been hanging around in the cupboards for quite some time. It’s a charming mix of new/modern with vintage.

Add sunflower yellow gingham cloth napkins and vintage flatware, and you’ve instantly created a table that captures the spirit of the season…summer! Just don’t forget to add some fresh flowers from the garden! Do you have any favorite flowers or colors you like to incorporate into your summer tablescapes?
Since it might be picnic season these flowering summer plates would be ideal to include in a picnic basket. Stay tuned for how I use them in a picnic basket and come along with me as I pack us for a picnic.
