A Weekend Roundup – A Little Fall Inspiration
Happy Weekend!
Welcome to another addition of a weekend roundup? I thought I would share a little simple Fall home decor and what I added picked from the side of the road and maybe a bit of randomness.
Painted Pears
My weekend roundup consisted of some simple fall inspiration. Yellow pears from the Dollar Store were given a fall vibe with a bit of brown paint. Yes, that’s how I roll. I appreciate the little things. Sometimes less is often much more.
Lessons: That’s Not My Cup of Tea
I saved a little broken teacup that I just couldn’t bring myself to throw away. Using some glue (E6000), I patched it back together. For some reason this brought to mind a simple saying: “You are not everyone’s cup of tea, and that is okay.” “Don’t waste your finite time and heart trying to convince the people that aren’t your people that you have value. They will miss it completely. They won’t buy what you are selling…. You are not for them, and they are not for you.” …”Seek to share your path with those who appreciate your gifts, of who you are. Be who you are.” Just know and be okay that you are not everyone’s cup of tea.
Foraging for Autumn
I know that it is still quite seasonable warm. It is late August. However cooler mornings have had me turning to all the feels of Autumn. Autumn is all about abundance and coziness and creating a comfortable home. I may have spent some time outside to gather some goodies for the home just to add that cozy feeling. I’ve been viewing these golden grasses alongside our road for several days. They were just calling me to cut and gather with a golden ribbon for a white pitcher. Maybe you use your foraged goodies as mantel decor or as materials for your own hand-crafted wreath, I like to get creative with all the seasonal treasures you can find.
Randomness
Remember the gopher problem? Well, I think the matter is resolved. However, he left a few mounds of dirt in my lawn that needed a bit of fixing. I like animals just so you know, but not the destructive ones. He was becoming way beyond a nuisance. So, nothing that a gopher bomb couldn’t take of. I’m really not sad about it either. Hopefully that is the end of Caddy Shack around here. Keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for stopping by Rustic and Refound!
Here’s to all the good stuff that will makes us feel happy and creative!
