DIY No Sew Fabric Hearts
Valentine’s day is one of those holidays that I don’t always decorate for. It’s one of those holidays that I have to be really inspired to even acknowledge with my home decor. This year I was inspired to create a little something simple and easy to lay or hang around. So, my DIY no sew fabric hearts were created in just a few simple steps.

What inspired me you might ask? Marshalls. The answer is always Marshalls in my neck of the woods. I was walking through Marshalls looking all the sweet Valentine’s Day items and decided to do some DIY projects. I played around with idea for some of the fun “love day” things today & made some super simple DIY no sew fabric hearts that you can make too!

These fabric hearts are sweet home decor for Valentines Day that can be used to decorate in so many ways! You can create a heart garland to hang, place on a place setting, dangling from a peg rack, a doorknob or you can use them as bowl fillers.

No Sew Fabric Hearts
No needle and thread needed for this fun Valentine craft! So simple and fun to make! Pick your favorite fabric colors for Valentine’s Day or maybe what coordinates with your home decor.

Supplies Needed for Valentine Hearts
- Fabric of your choice
- Hot glue gun and extra glue sticks
- Poly-fil to stuff the heart
- Ribbon or string/jute twine to create the hanger
- small clothespins
DIY No Sew Fabric Hearts in 5 Steps
- 1. Cut out a heart from paper or card stock to create the template. To create the heart shape fold a piece of paper in half and fold vertically and trace one side of the heart. Cut around this shape with the paper folded to create two symmetrical sides of the heart. My heart shapes are approximately 6″ X 5″.
- 2. Using the pattern trace out the heart on the fabric. I used the reverse side of the fabric to trace my pattern so that any pencil marks were not visible on the front side.
- 3. Stack the fabric heart pieces together, wrong sides together, so they match up. Peel back a side and run a bead of hot glue along the outside edge. Continue to glue leaving an opening to stuff the heart with poly-fil.
- 4. Fill the fabric heart with poly-fil, pushing the filling back to glue the remaining fabric edges together to seal up the heart.
- 5. To create a hanging heart, using a piece of ribbon, jute, string glue to the top inside of the fabric heart before glueing the two pieces together. To create a banner – simply clothespin the fabric heart to the piece of jute twine or string for hanging.

Easy peezy! That’s all there is to it! These, no sew fabric hearts are so simple and easy to make. This is my kind of DIY. Since my patience is short and my Valentine’s Day decor needs to be minimal, these fit the bill.
