A Simple Christmas Table Set with Vintage
One of the aspects I cherish most about the Christmas season is the enchantment it carries. Today, I’m showcasing a simple Christmas table set with vintage dishes that I put together back in October. Indeed, October. The inspiration for my Christmas table came from a set of vintage dishes I found while thrifting. It may not be your traditional Christmas dinnerware, but it’s a set that’s simply too beautiful to reserve for anything less than a special occasion.

Place Setting Details
It’s been a while since I’ve set a table, but today is all about savoring these exquisite dishes. Google informs me these are antique Noritake Hand Painted China from Japan. This may not thrill everyone but finding a seven-to-eight-piece place setting, complete with a large vintage platter, for a bargain at the thrift store has me over the moon.

The charming details of these dishes captivated me from the start. I was enchanted by the delicate array of flowers painted in hues of pink, blue, yellow, and red. Moreover, the lovely painted border in shades of orange and green might be hard to overlook. While they are perfect for an autumn table setting, I challenged myself to set the table for Christmas.

A Changing of the Season – Garland and Christmas Ornaments for the Centerpiece

This involved using what you have on hand. Like adding some greenery for a centerpiece. This is simply a section of artificial garland laid down the center of the table, interspersed with several brass candlesticks tied up with gold velvet ribbon and vintage glass ornaments in gold and blue.

Sometimes a Sprinkle of Ambiance is All You Need
The Christmas table was created using a selection of simple pieces and a plethora of vintage items. It showcased an array of thrifted vintage plates of various sizes, an assortment of collected vintage flatware, thrifted green glassware, soft pink linens, brass candlestick holders, a golden sugar and creamer set, and tall white taper candles to add a touch of ambiance.

Linens
The only thing new on this table are the linen napkins.

Touches of Gold
Touches of gold are present in the form of a creamer and sugar bowl, as well as the velvet ribbon tied around the flatware and candlesticks. A selection of gold ornaments has been arranged for the centerpiece.
