Teacup Scoops
Here’s the Scoop
Did you know you can use a teacup as a scoop? Join me as I show you an easy way to display your teacup treasures in your kitchen.
What’s the Scoop
Have you been given some antiques or found some at a thrift store? Antique teacups to be exact. Maybe you are like me and have a small collection of teacups that you have stacked in your cupboard and not in use. Using teacups in creative ways can add charm and functionality to your home. My teacups have been handed down, thrifted, purchased from antique stores, or purchased from a department store.
Teacup Scoops
While I absolutely adore vintage decor, I’m very cognizant of wanting it to look updated and fresh and not so much granny core. As part of my pantry organizing, I like things that are on display to be useful, practical, and still look good. I’ve grown quite fond of using a vintage cup or teacup as a scoop.
Repurposing teacups for uses other than their intended one can be quite creative. Apart from serving tea, I find using teacups as scoops for glass storage containers containing flour, sugar, rice, and cereals to be a delightful alternative to plain old scoops. They add a charming touch to your dry goods while sitting prettily on the shelf, saving you the trouble of searching for a scoop when you need to measure out these staples.

Sitting Pretty – Teacup Scoops
Just a few glass jars with vintage mugs and a teacup for a scoop!
Here’s my scoop on teacup scoops. I like to store my dry goods in glass jars for the ease and convenience. However, most dry goods should be stored in plastic air-tight containers for long term storage. My jars are for temporary storage on the shelf in my pantry, and I simply add a teacup or cup for a scoop. I don’t know if you want me to call this a disclaimer, but this is how I use teacups in glass storage containers for quick access storage.
Thanks for stopping by Rustic and Refound. I do hope that I inspired you to repurpose those teacups in your dry good storage.

Love your teacup scoop idea!
Thank you for the nice comment and stopping by! I love using old teacups in my jars, especially if they are heirlooms.
