February In Review
Happy Leap Day! As February comes to an end, and we March on, this is all about the month, February in review with some of my favorite views that maybe I didn’t share in a post. Can you believe that we are at a new month and spring is three weeks away. March is a busy month with Daylight Saving Time, St. Patrick’s Day, first day of spring, and Easter.
February Views
A short home tour with some Valentine’s Day table decor and simple inspiration.

Kitchen Views and Vignettes
Simple kitchen vignettes often have grocery store flowers like these pink lily style flowers. They certainly have made their appearance around the house.

As I go about my daily chores around the kitchen, I still enjoy a few of my bread boards leaning against the kitchen backsplash.

Retirement allows me time to peruse cookbooks at length for dinner and dessert inspiration. However, I often fall back on the tried-and-true oldies. Some are family hand-me-downs.

Sometimes cute sightlines just happen.
Dining Space – February in Review
A table centerpiece perfect for Valentine’s Day or any other day.

A recent gift – a favorite collection of vintage Milk Glass dishes. If you stop by for lunch you might get a sandwich served on one of these pretty white plates. Dishes perfect for setting a brunch table.

Living Space – Tabletop Vignette
Using jewel tones is the perfect way to incorporate richness into your space. Jewel tones are on trend in 2024.

This little nook maybe a bit of a thorn in my side. I never know how to style it or what should land here. Things and collections have landed here as a result of a budget constraints, design and items that I have on hand.

Jewel Tones Have Arrived
The jewel tones that I brought to the living room this year. If this is, you: “The saturated hues of precious gems are giving the palette of 2024 design trends a sense of velvety mystery.” “People are rediscovering color in their homes, which is a welcome shift from all -neutral palette we’ve seen for several years, and jewel tones are the forefront of that shift.” (Rob Natale, chief of design at Sixpenny). The irony, the rug on the back of the sofa is named, “Seven Jewels.”

February is such a great month to spread kindness and cheer. I found this quote and thought I would share. “To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.” ~David Viscott
