My Trash to Treasure

A Little DIY Re-Purpose
The way I see it, a girl can take ‘trash’ from the left over wood pile and throw it in the wood stove or you can decide to create something else using scraps from the Mr.’s project. Well, it was free!
Everything is not always what it seems!
Like maybe it wasn’t supposed to be this originally?
Like a couple of scraps from posts re-purposed into candle holders.
A little rustic. A little refound.
Needing to be free from the stereotypical uses that 4x4s are usually forced into…
Things just need a new existence beyond the wood pile.
They aren’t fancy schmancy…
But different they are!;)
That little bit of scrap wood has reinvented itself and achieved a dream. They have textures, natural surfaces, wood and metal.
I don’t think that rustic country style decorating needn’t be expensive. There are many ways to produce a ‘country’ look without spending a fortune on #antique, #rustic, wooden furniture or accents.
By getting creative you get originals … create your own look!
Depending on the look we are going for in our living spaces we can keep decor to a small scale or if you’re going for traditional country style decorating… choose larger designs if you want a bold look.
Sometimes I like a bit on the bolder side!
Like a little serape and turquoise! :0
I guess I was feeling a bit loud that day!;)
A little turquoise treasure?
This is not your everyday elegance.
If you remember, I told you I don’t adhere to conventional rules;)
and
every man’s trash is someone’s treasure. Well it’s usually mine!
I’m always on the hunt for lifestyle inspirations.
I like rustic country style decor that can be derived on shoestring.
For me rustic country style decor is both beautiful and useful – not just beautiful, or just antique and rustic. Primitive rustic country decor and country home decorating ideas are even better when they literally ‘work’ – when you can put your decorating items to good use.
Although my works may not fall under the beautiful category, but useful and literally ‘work’ they do!
They fit into my western rustic and refound home style of decor.
I think I quoted that you should “Create your own style, let it be unique for yourself…”
…Like a little wild west stylin’ for a little wild west living.
Wishing you a happy Monday;)
What a wonderful idea!! The candle holders turned out beautifully.
Thanks Liz. You will have to visit and see the new candle holders.
