Vintage Thrifted Finds
March 31, 2022
Can you believe that today is the last day of March? Spring is flying by my friends!
While out and about the other day, I decided to stop at a local thrift store. If you have been around here for any time at all, you might know me to love junking. So, I have started popping in at the thrift stores here and there in search of vintage treasures. My favorite things that I look for are pretty dishes.
My usual finds are bits and pieces like a few plates, teacups and saucers, and stemware. Sometimes there are chips and cracks. I tend to look past these imperfections depending on the piece. Using pieces or groups of thrifted dishes, I will mix the patterns on my tablescapes.
These are the pieces that I found at the thrift store and mixed together. What was even more rare was to find additional plates to the bottom set – since I had purchased four of the plates sometime back. Now I have a set of six.
Both sets of dishes remind me of an English rose garden. So classically beautiful with their edges adorned in florals. Along with the beautiful floral motif, both sets are rimmed in gold.
A Soft Mix and Mingle
I love the mix of these beautiful plates together. They add just the right amount of elegance. The rich creaminess of the top plates would mix beautifully with other dishes and add the perfect amount of pretty to all white.
Rose garden sweetness! Together they inspired my Easter tablescape.
Thrifted Treasures
If you are a lover of roses, you’ll love these collected pieces. The combined dishes give the whole table setting a romantic and charming English vibe. Awe, wish I had fresh roses to compliment the dishes.
I hope you are a thrifting junky like myself and have enjoyed my collected treasures and how I used them. Some of the beauty of thrifting treasures, is anyone can use them. Not always child friendly, but if they get broke it’s not like your mom, grandma, or aunt – a family heirloom is lost. Even kids can come to appreciate these time-worn beauties. I know I did.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed some of my wild west stylin’ for my wild west livin’😉
